CONDEMN THOOTHUKKUDI POLICE KILLINGS
The gruesome killing of 11 people including two women and a teenager in Thoothukkudi by marauding police attrocity is outrageous flouting of democracy and human rights. We condemn this rabid unleashing of state-terror in bestial service to the corporate capitalist giant Vedanta and it's poison spewing Sterlite factory.
The people mainly from the fishermen had gathered to protest against the said factory and were justly anguished as they were went unheard for long by authorities and when they came in tens of thousands the state opened its guns and teargas arsenell to answer the just struggle killing 11 and injuring hundreds; more than twenty of them seriously.
We demand that the police officers and other executive higher ups responsible for this mass-murder be suspended, impartial enquiry be conducted and punishment be given that fits to set example of execution of justice.
The question of the malicious factory be perused and strict action be taken hearing the demands of the people, heeding to objective prudence and people's interest and anchoring on scientific conceiving of the duty of environmental protection.
