Condemn Modi Government’s move
The
air of departure from the position of empathy with Palestine and stance to vote
in support of Palestinian cause in the international forums including that of
the United Nations has been thickened by the Modi Government as the reports have
come up with explicit indications of such surreptitious moves.
It is extremely
denigrating and retrogressive a shift in the foreign policy of our nation that had
been long up held standing stormy and malevolent periods in history. We unequivocally
condemn this blemishing move of the Modi government.
This
had been formed through the anti imperialist liberation struggle of our nation;
bred and brought up by the blood and sweat of the valiant men and women who
fought that epic struggle against the British imperialism; and, had been led by
great leaders of the nation to high emblematic positions of the republic in the
international forums such as the UN. Mahathma Gandhi had categorically stated
against the imposition of a Jewish state upon the people of Palestine as early
as in 1938 itself.
Hence, departing from the wisely taken , long
held, time tested and independent path that our country had moved on is a
choice for doom and for servitude to US led imperialist camp. It is treacherous
to the friendly people of Palestine, who had been with us all along to guard
peace, secularism, freedom, non-alignment, and mutual respect of sovereignty.
We call upon all the patriotic, democratic and
peace loving people to rise in protest and rally in resistance to this
pro-imperialist pro-Zionist move for shift in the foreign policy to that of
discarding the vote in support of Palestine.

partition of Palestine in 1947,
had voted against
Zionist Israel’s admission in the UN in 1949
and had held on to
the position of empathy with and support to Palestine through all the decades;
irrespective of the change of governments.
