Hundreds and thousands of peasants of Palghar district storm additional collector’s office on 12th October 2015 demanding government procurement of paddy, vegetables and other agricultural produces. Peasants from four tehsils viz. Mokhada, Wada, Javar and Vikramgadh participated in large number under the banner of ‘Shetkari-Shetmazoor Sanghatana’ and ‘Adivasi Asmita Sanghatana’. A large section of adivasis has been cheated while the implementation of forest right act, hence it was also demanded the fair and immediate implementation of this act. Work of 365 days be given inMNREGA, generalization and consolition of rationing system and so many other local demands etc. were also demanded. A memorandum was given to additional collector and an assurance was given from the side of government. The morcha was led by central committee member of CPI(ML) Red Flag comrade Chandrashekhar, comrade Chandrakant Fupane, Adv. Reena Bansode, Baban Kakra, Shankar Badade, Ramu Kadu, Bharat Zate.
