Hundreds of peasants were gathered in Wada tehsil of Palghar district of Maharashtra recently on the occasion of ‘People’s Court’. This program was organised by Shetkari-Shetmazoor Sanghatana (Lal Bawta). This innovative program was demanded by this peasant organization with the tehsildar of the tehsil. Under the ‘Solution Scheme’ of Maharashtra state government the grievances of people and mainly rural people are resolved. Issues such as water scarcity, implementation of Forest Right Act, job guarantee under MNREGS, problems regarding less availability of food grain on PDS were taken up. Wada taluka party secretary comrade Kaluram Lokhande, Mokhada taluka secretary Shankar Badade, state committee member comrade Chandrakant Fupane, comrade Ramu Kadu, comrade Baban Kakra, comrade Suresh Patil and other comrades put forward the issues of locals. ------------------Reports Adesh Bansode
