Rally and meeting at Wada taluk [ Palghar district , Maharashtra ] tahasildar's office , raising 15 demands of peasants and agricultural workers . On 23rd March about 1000 people marched to the office of the Tahasildar at Wada taluk raising 15 demands  like  , demanding to regularise the forest plots being tilled by  adivasis , to oppose the conspiracy of State govt and Modi govt to dismantle the MNREGA scheme , for govt procurement centre for  agricultural produce , to start Agricultural Produce Market committee at Wada , to oppose the new Land Acquisition Act , for piped water supply at home , for govt help to the peasants who lost crops due to unseasonal rain etc . The rally , the demonstration and the wide propaganda at many villages created a good response from the people . The Rally  organised by the Shetkari- Shetmajur Sanghatana [ Peasnats and agricultural Workers organisation ] , was inaugurated by comrade Adesh Bansode . The meeting was presided by comrade Suresh Patil and addressed by comrades Baban Kakra , Kaluram Lokhande , Bharat Khate , Ramu Kadu , Chandrakant Phupane etc . The tahasildar and other  govt officials came out and received  the memorandum . They gave assuarance to try to solve most of the demands . The meeting decided to continue the struggle , till the demands are not met ....................................................................................................... This rally is part of the on-going peasant  mobilisations in various districts of Maharashtra . The villages in Maharashtra are facing a serious distress due to the deepening of globalisation and people are on the verge of a mass upsurge . The Palghar district near Mumbai has seen many struggles since last few months . In Mokhada taluk 2 rallies and 2 people's courts were organised to pursue the demands of peasants and rural workers . All these struggles and mobilisations are spreading a new enthusiasm among neighbouring taluks and districts .
